We here at Lakeview School are running our SEL week this week! We have our school broken up into Den’s (Lion families since we are Lakeview Lions) There are 5 dens for our 5 core values PRIDE – Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Excellence. Each den consists of 1 class from each grade level 5th to Kindergarten. Our fifth grade leaders each run their very own morning meeting circle. Each circle has children from every grade. Our focus for this group of meetings was finding common ground. Their morning meetings have a theme of finding out things they have in common with each other. The 5th graders plan and run it all by themselves! I can send you pics at the end of the week with all the den meetings. Here is one example to give you an idea of what our den meetings look like.
