NJASECD participates in SEL DAY!

NJASECD and SEL4NJ helped to kick-off the SEL Day International Summit on Monday, March 3, 2025 with a session called “The SEL 2.0 Approach -SEL Skills Need Character as a Moral Compass.” Dr. Maurice Elias, Dr. Nathan Fisher, and Dr. William Trusheim explore the connection between SEL skills and character strengths in preparing students for life during and after schooling. The acquisition of SEL skills alone is not sufficient to promote success. Character strengths and core values provide the compass that guides individuals on the proper course.
